      Upcoming Navy Memorial Events

Every Tuesday during the summer, the US Navy Band performs on the Navy Memorial Plaza. See the full Concerts on the Avenue schedule. Plus, find out about more upcoming Navy Memorial events.

The Navy Log is the place where members of the Navy community -- Sailors, veterans, retirees, family members, civilian employees and the private sector that serves the Navy -- can connect with each other. If you’re passionate about the Navy, you can use the Navy Log to:

• Tell colleagues, family and friends about upcoming reunions and events, like the Vietnam Era Seabees.

• Share memories and photos from your service, like in this blog entry from the USS Turner Joy group.

• Add news gadgets to automatically display headlines for topics you're interested in -- say, USC news for the USC NROTC Alumni group

• Reconnect with old shipmates

• Find family members, friends or lost shipmates.

• And much, much more!

The NEW Navy Log

The power of the new Navy Log is its ability to link individuals together in a variety of like-minded groups. The Lone Sailor, symbol of the Navy Memorial

This could be veterans from all the ships named USS North Carolina, Navy kids whose dads were stationed on Guam 1970-1975, Navy wives from VP-63, or the shipyard workers who built USS Ronald Reagan.

What is the Original Navy Log?
For more than 20 years, the Navy Log has been the Permanent National Registry of Sea Service. It is a database that contains individual service profiles of more than 600,000 Navy, Marine Corps, Merchant Marines, and Coast Guard veterans. Veterans, or family members of veterans, can enter basic service information, like rate/rank, dates of service, duty stations, and awards. A picture can also be submitted to the Navy Memorial for inclusion in the Log.
